The Practice of Yoga.

Yoga
is a multifaceted practice that originated in ancient India, encompassing physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and ethical principles. It aims to foster harmony between the body, mind, and spirit, offering various physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Yoga is not a religion, but rather a philosophy and a set of practices that can be adapted by individuals of all backgrounds.

Yoga incorporates a variety of poses designed to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and overall physical health. These postures are often linked with controlled breathing. Pranayama techniques focus on regulating breath to influence energy flow and mental state. Yoga emphasizes the practice of meditation and mindfulness to cultivate inner peace, improve concentration, and reduce stress. Yoga incorporates ethical guidelines, such as non-violence (ahimsa) and truthfulness (satya), which encourage practitioners to live a more compassionate and harmonious life.  There are various styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Restorative yoga, each with its own emphasis and focus.
